PLAYING PROCEDURES

The GDBL series are played from Sunday to Saturday in actual time.  Each team will play either ONE 5 or 6 game series per week. Use the league schedule on the disk for playing games.  Ensure it is the 2004 year, starting on April 1, 2004.

Before a series if you intend to play any games, send an E-Mail to your opponent of when you could play.  If the opponent can play it should then be a H-H game(s).  If your schedules conflict & does not permit H-H play, the team that can play first on the calendar can play the first game in a 2 game series, the first 2 in a 5 game series at max. Then the other team can complete the series.

  1. The home team has the option of hosting H-H games.
  2. Games vs. the computer must be made available for viewing on
NetMeeting.  Before playing these type games just send out an E-Mail with
your IP & turn NetMeeting on.  This way anyone can come in and view the
ongoing game.  IT MUST BE DONE.
  3. While the series are either 4 or 2 games each team plays two series a
week.  When the series switch to either 4 or 5 games there will only be one
    series to play a week.
  4. Each owner should E-Mail me their game plan MGR with active rosters,
lineups, rotations, bull pens etc...and I can load them into the DATA Base
for the duration.  You can of course submit a new one every series.  This
will be important for auto-plays and games played for your team by the
    computer.
  5. Any games not submitted to me by 1 p.m. Sunday will be auto-played.
  6. You can use players in any fashion you like as we allow the game
engine to police fatigue.  Check the website to view the draconian penalties
Green Diamond utilizes for over usage.
  7. Players can only have their active/inactive status changed between
series with the INJURY RULE exception.

FREE AGENT INJURY RULE

In the event injuries leave a team without a player who is designated to play a position. In that event a team will be allowed to sign up to 2 players for that position. Those players must be released as follows:

  1. When the injured player(s) are healed; or at
  2. The conclusion of the season. In this event the injured players must be placed on the Injured Reserve List and are precluded from playing either in the regular or post season for that season.

The Free Agent Injury Rule can only be utilized when a team has already exhausted it's 5 Free Agent Signings.
